Kogi State chapter of the  Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) Tuesday charged the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to be accountable to the people by declaring how much the state gets from the federal allocation monthly and how it is expended.

The state Chairman of the ACN, Alhaji Haddy Ametuo, who made the call in Lokoja, said nothing had shown that the government is getting monthly allocation and other revenues. “You can see poverty everywhere. Majority of our youths are idle, and up till date, we don’t know what we get from the federal allocation. We don’t know how much we are spending. We only know that we owe but we don’t know who we owe and how much we owe?”

While bemoaning the growing rates of criminal acts in the state, Haddy said crime could be traced to joblessness among the youths.
