Governor, Mr. Peter Obi of Anambra
Hours after the Action Congress of Nigeria lost its member representing Anambra West Constituency to the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Anambra State, another lawmaker, Mrs. Rita Maduagwu representing Nnewi South Two constituency Friday followed suit by decamping to the ruling APGA at a brief ceremony at the party secretariat in Awka.
Maduagwu said her decision to join APGA was driven by her motivation to serve her people better and that APGA was the best platform for achieving that.
According to her, the developmental strides of the state governor, Mr. Peter Obi, also played a major role in her decision as she wanted to be part of the winning team in order to fully actualise her mission for her people.
Welcoming her to APGA, the state governor, Peter Obi, described the two days where the party received two ACN members as special and noted that it was always better to be in the winning team for maximum benefits.
