Flood in Delta
Indigenes of Aboh community in Port Harcourt have lamented the alleged neglect of their kinsmen ravaged by flood in their homeland by the Delta State government.
According to a communiqué issued by the Port Harcourt branch of Aboh Development Union (ADU) President, Chief Felix Alumona, the people at Aboh, headquarters of Ndokwa-East Local Government Area of the state, were stranded and in need of relief materials and boats to ferry them out of the flood.
The union observed that the state had failed to salvage the situation. “Our people are stranded, hungry, thirsty and not cared for by the same government their massive votes contributed to install in office. Aboh people deserve to be catered for by the state government especially in this period every sensitive government is showing concern for its people,” the group said.
