Abia State Governor, Chief Theodore Orji

The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Umuahia, the Abia State capital Thursday cleared the way for the state governor, Chief Theodore Orji, and his remaining challenger at the tribunal, Hon. Stanley Ohajuruka, to bring forensic experts as witnesses in the legal tussle.

Ohajuruka, who contested the gubernatorial poll under the banner of Labour Party (LP), had approached the tribunal seeking the cancellation of the poll on the ground that it was characterised by fraud. Hence he moved an application through a member of his legal team, J.A Igiebon to procure the services of a forensic expert to prove his case.
