Senator Chris Ngige

Abia state chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has lashed out at the Benue State chairman of the party, Comrade Abba Yaro, for linking Senator Chris Ngige to the alleged move to shove aside Senator George Akume as Senate minority leader. Speaking to THISDAY in Umuahia, the Abia ACN chairman, Chief Obi Aham, said that yaro was over-reaching his bounds by attacking the leader of ACN in the South East geopolitical zone without any reason whatsoever. He said that  Ngige remains the pillar on which ACN stands in the South East and deserves the respect of every true ACN member across the country, including Comrade Yaro, whom he accused of showing disrespect to the ACN Senator representing Anambra Ngige.  Yaro was quoted in a national daily as alleging that the Senate President, David mark was using Ngige and Senator Gani Solomon of Lagos state to destabilize ACN in a “clandestine move” to remove Akume as minority leader. He went to say that the post of Senate minority leader was not mean for people like Ngige and Solomon, whom he referred to as political minors.

  • Thanks for ur observation my able Abia ACN chairman. The likes of Abba Yaro must be cautioned to appreciate that ACN belongs to all of us. To us in the South east, it is sacrilegeous to disrespect our leader, Senator Dr Chris Ngige who simply stands out as the most formidable politician in the south esat. His overwhelming nationwide popularity is God given and people like Senator Akume should naturally panic when he is around. Pls. . Minority leadership is the least of worries for a man that should be the next Igbo president. A man who is to the Igbos what Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is to the Yorubas. A man whose people aread pressuring to govern them again come 2014. This is the problem we have in Nigeria. Honour and respect is seldom given to who deserves it. Abba Yaro. .. Pls leave Ngige alone and make better use of ur time.
