Senator Chris Ngige
Abia state chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has lashed out at the Benue State chairman of the party, Comrade Abba Yaro, for linking Senator Chris Ngige to the alleged move to shove aside Senator George Akume as Senate minority leader. Speaking to THISDAY in Umuahia, the Abia ACN chairman, Chief Obi Aham, said that yaro was over-reaching his bounds by attacking the leader of ACN in the South East geopolitical zone without any reason whatsoever. He said that Ngige remains the pillar on which ACN stands in the South East and deserves the respect of every true ACN member across the country, including Comrade Yaro, whom he accused of showing disrespect to the ACN Senator representing Anambra Ngige. Yaro was quoted in a national daily as alleging that the Senate President, David mark was using Ngige and Senator Gani Solomon of Lagos state to destabilize ACN in a “clandestine move” to remove Akume as minority leader. He went to say that the post of Senate minority leader was not mean for people like Ngige and Solomon, whom he referred to as political minors.
