This is the young man who wanted all celebrities to take off their clothes for the Get Naked Campaign – a HIV/AIDS Awareness event held recently…

First off, your résumé is impressive – writer for MTV UK’s The Wrap Up, Tru Spot, OK! Magazine, Attitude Magazine; Gossip Editor for Pardon My Blog; On-Air Personality; how did it all start?

When I moved to the United States I started reading blogs out of sheer boredom and I discovered Perez Hilton. I wanted to be like him so I stalked him and his whole team, sending them several emails that I wanted a place as an intern. I think he must have been impressed by my almost-maniacal persistence because he finally replied. I got on the team and got trained to be a gossip blogger. That’s how I started my blog and wrote for a lot of publications, till MTV UK found me and I started presenting MTV “The Wrap Up” whilst freelancing as a reporter for BBC and Channel 4 UK.

What prompted the Get Naked Campaign?
I was always scared to get tested due to the fact that, growing up, I had exposed myself to various high risk situations. Eventually I did get tested and it came out negative. That was the defining moment. I want to educate people and put an end to the stigma while driving home the message of safe sex.

How much of unsafe sex will you place at the doorstep of music, especially hip hop?
In my experience as an entertainment pundit, I think it would be safe to assume that unsafe sex and hip hop go hand in hand. Hip hop sometimes instils this nonchalant attitude in you that makes you unruly.

Who do you think deserves the best song of the year for 2012?
“That Stupid Song” by Bez, definitely! It’s silly in a feel-good way. It brings back nostalgic memories of me in primary school. Those were good times.

What is that consistent flaw you have noticed most celebrities have?
Lack of Humility and really fake accent!
