Senate President, David Mark
Senate President, David Mark Friday observed that, the only way forward for Nigeria to achieve her full potentials is for politics to be played with honesty, honour and integrity.
Mark also berated the presence of those he described as "actors and pretenders" on the national political scene.
Mark, who made the observation when he paid a condolence visit to the family of late second republic senate leader, Dr. Olusola Saraki at his country home, Ilofa, Ilorin, Kwara state capital also said, "the late Senate leader and very few other distinguished politicians charted a cause for selfless, honest and detribalised politicking which the nation is savouring today".
Mark said that development has affected the growth of democracy in Nigeria. Senator Mark described the late Saraki as a politician who lived and played politics without pretence and asked Nigerians to celebrate instead of mourning his demise as a man who has left outstanding legacies for the political direction of Nigeria.
According to him," Baba is not dead. He lives on because a man who lived as he did does not die.”
